DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 500 PM EDT (2100 UTC), the center of Post-Tropical Cyclone Beryl was located near latitude 42.2 North, longitude 81.8 West. The post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the east-northeast near 18 mph (30 km/h) and this motion is expected to continue into early Thursday morning. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next 24 hours. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1001 mb (29.56 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- Heavy rainfall will result in areas of flash flooding, some of which may be locally considerable, through tonight for central and northern New York and northern New England. Isolated minor river flooding is possible.
