A TROPICAL STORM WATCH MEANS THAT TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE IN THE WATCH AREA DURING THE NEXT 36 HOURS. AT 2 AM EDT...0600Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION ONE WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 31.6 NORTH...LONGITUDE 78.9 WEST OR ABOUT 95 MILES SOUTHEAST OF CHARLESTON SOUTH CAROLINA. THE DEPRESSION HAS BEEN DRIFTING NORTH-NORTHWESTWARD OVER THE PAST FEW HOURS. A NORTH-NORTHWESTWARD TO NORTHWARD MOTION IS EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS...WHICH WOULD BRING THE CENTER OF THE TROPICAL CYCLONE NEAR THE COAST OF THE SOUTHEASTERN UNITED STATES LATER TODAY.
