At 500 PM AST (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Claudette was
located near latitude 42.5 North, longitude 59.8 West. Claudette is
moving toward the northeast near 21 mph (33 km/h), and this general
motion is expected to continue overnight.

Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts.
Weakening is likely, and Claudette is expected to become a
post-tropical cyclone tonight. Dissipation is forecast on
Wednesday.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 80 miles (130 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
