At 500 PM AST (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Fred was
located near latitude 22.0 North, longitude 35.4 West. Fred is
moving toward the west-northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h) and this
motion is expected to continue for the next 2 days.

Maximum sustained winds remain near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher
gusts. Weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours and Fred is
forecast to become a remnant low by Friday.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
