DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 1100 PM AST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Henri was located near latitude 34.8 North, longitude 60.7 West. Henri is moving toward the north near 14 mph (22 km/h). This general motion is expected to continue with an increase in forward speed through tonight. A turn toward the northeast and a faster forward speed are expected Friday and Friday night. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next 48 hours. However, Henri could become a post-tropical cyclone by Saturday. Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 140 miles (220 km) to the east of the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1008 mb (29.77 inches).
