At 1100 PM AST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Ida was
located near latitude 21.3 North, longitude 45.3 West. The
depression is moving toward the north-northwest near 5 mph (7 km/h).
A northwestward motion should begin on Friday and continue through
Saturday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.
A slight decrease in strength is forecast during the next 48 hours,
and Ida could become a post-tropical cyclone over the weekend.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches).
