At 1100 PM AST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Ida was
located near latitude 22.9 North, longitude 45.5 West. The
depression is moving toward the north-northwest near 8 mph (13
km/h). A northwestward motion is expected on Saturday with a turn
toward the west forecast on Sunday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.
Ida is forecast to weaken over the weekend and could degenerate into
a remnant low by late Saturday or on Sunday.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches).
