DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 1100 AM AST (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Fiona was located near latitude 24.6 North, longitude 59.7 West. The depression is moving toward the west-northwest near 17 mph (28 km/h). A continued west-northwestward motion with a gradual decrease in forward speed is forecast later today and on Tuesday. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Gradual weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Fiona could become a remnant low during this time.
