The depression is moving toward the west near 18 mph (30 km/h). A turn toward the west-northwest is expected on Tuesday. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and the depression is forecast to become a tropical storm tonight or on Tuesday. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches).
