At 1100 PM AST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Gaston was
located near latitude 18.6 North, longitude 42.1 West. Gaston is
moving toward the northwest near 17 mph (28 km/h), and this
general motion is expected to continue during the next couple of
days.

Maximum sustained winds remain near 70 mph (110 km/h) with higher
gusts. Some weakening is possible during the next 48 hours.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 990 mb (29.24 inches).
