DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 500 PM AST (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Twelve was located near latitude 17.8 North, longitude 31.4 West. The depression is moving toward the west near 13 mph (20 km/h), and a motion toward the west or west-southwest is expected during the next couple of days. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next 48 hours, with some strengthening expected by late in the weekend.
