At 1100 PM AST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Karl was
located near latitude 18.5 North, longitude 37.0 West. Karl is
moving toward the west near 15 mph (24 km/h), and this motion is
expected to continue during the next two days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts.
Little change in strength is forecast during the next 48 hours.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 205 miles (335 km)
to the north of the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
