At 500 PM EDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Julia
was located near latitude 30.5 North, longitude 76.3 West. The
depression is moving toward the northwest near 1 mph (2 km/h), and
a slow motion toward the northwest and north is expected during the
next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 30 mph (45 km/h) with higher gusts.
Little change in strength is forecast during the next 48 hours, but
Julia is expected to become a remnant low tonight.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1010 mb (29.83 inches).
