DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 500 AM EDT (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Julia was located near latitude 31.3 North, longitude 76.7 West. The depression is moving toward the north-northwest near 5 mph (7 km/h), and a slow northward motion is expected for the next couple of days. Maximum sustained winds are near 30 mph (45 km/h) with higher gusts. Some slight strengthening is possible during the next 48 hours. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1010 mb (29.83 inches).
