DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 1100 AM EDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Julia
was located near latitude 31.8 North, longitude 77.1 West. The
depression is moving toward the west near 2 mph (4 km/h). A turn
toward the north is expected to occur later today and that motion
is expected to continue into Tuesday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 30 mph (45 km/h) with higher gusts.
Some slight strengthening is possible during the next 48 hours.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1010 mb (29.83 inches).
