DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 500 PM AST (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Thirteen was located near latitude 13.6 North, longitude 28.6 West. The depression is moving toward the west near 12 mph (19 km/h) and this general motion is expected to continue through tonight. A motion toward the west-northwest is forecast to occur on Tuesday and Wednesday. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Some strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and the depression is expected to become a tropical storm tonight or on Tuesday.
