.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1001 PM EDT Wed Apr 2 2025

A strong surface pressure ridge that extends along the Atlantic
Coast and westward across the Gulf is generating fresh east to
southeasterly breezes across the forecast area this evening. The
breezy conditions is pumping in relatively warm and humid air with
temperature still near 80 and dew points in the mid 70s.
Meanwhile, strengthening deep layered ridging stretches north and
northeastward across our area. This evenings sounding indicated
a modest 1.15 inches of precipitable water with a good amount of
lower level inhibition. Surprisingly, this inhibition begins
rather low at around 950 mb. As a result, shower activity has been
very limited.

The tight pressure gradient will persist through the night and
will maintain the breezy to windy conditions. This flow will
hamper night time cooling. As a result, expect overnight lows to
hold in the upper 70s, while dew points may slip a couple degrees
in to the lower 70s. Forecast sounding suggest the lower level
inhibition will weaken. However, moisture and instability will
remain limited, and lower level lift will be weak at best. As a
result, while a shower or two cannot be absolutely ruled out, rain
chances will be slim.
