NORTHWEST...NORTH CENTRAL...PONCE AND VICINITY...SOUTHEAST... MAYAGUEZ AND VICINITY...SOUTHWEST...CENTRAL INTERIOR...EASTERN INTERIOR AND WESTERN INTERIOR IN THE U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS ST. THOMAS...ST. JOHN... AND ADJACENT ISLANDS AND ST CROIX INCLUDING ALL ELEVATIONS ABOVE 1000 FEET IN PUERTO RICO AND ALL HIGHER ELEVATIONS IN THE U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS. A BROAD LOW LEVEL WIND SURGE ACCOMPANYING TROPICAL STORM DENNIS ACROSS THE CARIBBEAN CONTINUES TO AFFECT THE LOCAL ISLANDS LATE THIS MORNING. ALTHOUGH THERE WILL BE PERIODS OF LIGHTER WINDS...PERIODS OF STRONG SUSTAINED WINDS OF 25 TO 30 MPH ARE EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF PUERTO RICO AND THE U.S VIRGIN ISLANDS.
