IN ADDITION...LIGHT WINDS AND RESIDUAL MOISTURE OVERNIGHT WHICH WILL HELP FOSTER FOGGY CONDITIONS OVER NH AND ME. && .PREV DISCUSSION... /ISSUED 328 PM EDT/ BAND OF RAIN WILL CONTINUE TO SHIFT EAST OVERNIGHT. MODELS PICK UP ON THIS RAPID EXIT OF THE PRECIPITATION THIS EVENING. HAVE ADDED SOME PATCHY FOG OVERNIGHT OVER NEW HAMPSHIRE WHERE THE CLEARING WILL TAKE PLACE FIRST. THERE WILL BE A LIGHT WNW GRADIENT DEVELOPING SO LATE NIGHT FOG MAY NOT BE AN ISSUE. HOWEVER...THERE IS AN AWFULLY LARGE SUPPLY OF LOW LEVEL MOISTURE ON THE GROUND AND A FEW OF THE VALLEYS WINDS MAY REMAIN LIGHT OVERNIGHT. && .SHORT TERM /6 AM SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH 6 PM SATURDAY/... CLOUDS WILL CONTINUE TO DEPART EARLY SATURDAY MORNING. WITH UPPER TROUGH IN PLACE...AND A SUFFICIENT UPSLOPE FLOW...WE DO EXPECT MORE CLOUDS IN THE MOUNTAINS AND POSSIBLY A BRIEF SHOWER OR SPRINKLE DURING THE DAY. USED A BLEND OF MET/MAV NUMBERS FOR MAX TEMPS. UPPER LEVEL LOW WILL CONTINUE TO SHARPEN AND DIG WITH TIME OVER THE GREAT LAKES. THIS SETS THE STAGE FOR AN OFFSHORE SYSTEM TO DEVELOP IN THE LONGER TERM. && .LONG TERM /SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY/... A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD ACROSS THE AREA SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY. AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WILL DRIFT SLOWLY EASTWARD SOUTH OF THE AREA TUESDAY AND MAY PROVIDE AN INCREASE IN CLOUDINESS ALONG THE COAST TUESDAY. THE LOW WILL DRIFT EAST TUESDAY NIGHT ALLOWING THE HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE TO RE-ESTABLISH ITSELF FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEK. TEMPS IN THE MTNS AND FOOTHILLS SUNDAY AND MONDAY MORNINGS WILL BE NEAR OR BELOW FREEZING AND MAY REQUIRE FREEZE WARNINGS. && .AVIATION /01Z SATURDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY/... LONG TERM...SMALL CRAFT CONDITIONS POSSIBLE SUNDAY INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK...OTHERWISE WINDS AND SEAS EXPECTED TO BE BELOW SCA CONDITIONS. && .HYDROLOGY... HAVE SENT OUT AN UPDATED PUBLIC INFORMATION STATEMENT DETAILING RAINFALL AMOUNTS ACROSS THE AREA. MOST OF MAINE STAYED BELOW 2 INCHES...WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SOMERSET COUNTY. MUCH OF NORTHERN AND WESTERN NEW HAMPSHIRE HAD BETWEEN 3 AND 5 INCHES OF RAIN. THIS HAS CAUSED RISES ON MANY RIVERS...AND WITH THE BRIEF LULL IN THE RAIN WHICH WAS EXPERIENCED YESTERDAY...MANY RIVERS ARE SEEING A SECOND CREST THIS EVENING. CALLS TO GRAFTON COUNTY INDICATE SOME ROADS ARE STILL UNDER WATER AND THEREFORE THE FLOOD WARNING CONTINUES FOR THAT REGION DESPITE MOST OF THE HEAVY RAIN HAVING EXITED NEW HAMPSHIRE. THE TWO RIVERS WHICH ARE IN FLOOD OR MOST LIKELY TO EXPERIENCE FLOODING ARE THE CONNECTICUT RIVER AND THE PEMIGEWASSET RIVER. THE PEMIGEWASSET RIVER HAS CRESTED IN THE HEADWATERS NEAR WOODSTOCK AND THIS CREST WILL MAKE ITS WAY PAST PLYMOUTH WITHIN THE NEXT FEW HOURS. THE CONNECTICUT HAS SHOWN SIGNS OF CRESTING IN THE UPSTREAM HEADWATERS AS WELL. LOCATIONS FURTHER SOUTH ALONG THE RIVER MAY EXPERIENCE AN INITIAL CREST TONIGHT BEFORE RISING AGAIN TOMORROW AS THE NEXT CREST PUSHES DOWNSTREAM FROM THE NORTH. AT THIS TIME ALL LOCATIONS WHICH HAVE FLOOD WARNINGS ARE EXPECTED TO CREST BELOW MODERATE FLOOD STAGE...SO FLOODING SHOULD REMAIN MINOR. MOST OF THE FLOODING WILL END ON SATURDAY...THOUGH SOME RIVERS MAY STAY UP THROUGH SUNDAY. && .GYX WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES... ME...NONE. NH...NONE. MARINE...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY UNTIL 6 PM EDT SATURDAY FOR ANZ150>154. && $$
